Qualifications

• AA or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• 3–5 years of dedicated commercial credit and collections experience.
• Experience in construction, subcontracting, industrial manufacturing, or building materials distribution.
• Legal knowledge with mechanics' liens, and lien waiver processes.
• Technical skills: proficiency in major ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and compiles credit information using established procedures.
• Maintains reports on credit risks in granting credit to new customers.
• Evaluates credit worthiness and establishes customers' line of credit.
• Mails form letters to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.
• Confers with customers by telephone to determine reasons for overdue payments.
• Prepares reports reflecting status of credit and collection activity.
