KS Industries, LP is seeking a dedicated Cost Estimator to join our construction-focused team in California. You will analyze blueprints, takeoffs, and project data to estimate required time, material, labor, and costs for diverse projects.

Collaborate with engineers, owners, and suppliers to obtain quotes, assess risks, and prepare detailed cost proposals for management review. Regular attendance and adherence to safety policies are essential.

Qualifications

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
Experience in taking off quantities to estimate costs.
Strong cost analysis and problem-solving abilities.
Effective written and verbal communication with engineers, owners, and contractors.
Negotiation skills for obtaining quotes and terms.
Proficiency in English in reading, writing, and comprehension.

Responsibilities

Regular and reliable attendance.
Take-off quantity data to estimate costs for various projects.
Confer with engineers, designers, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on cost estimate changes.
Research costs of materials, transport, labor, and equipment.
Obtain quotes from suppliers and contractors within set time frames.
Assess risk levels associated with a project.
Prepare quotations and cost detail for work to be done.
Analyze blueprints and drawings to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
Prepare estimates used by management for planning and scheduling.
Establish and maintain tendering process and conduct negotiations.
Follow KS Industries, LP safety and company policies.
