Job description

Perform intermediate level responsibilities related to development, coordination, implementation and direction of the project plan and monitor performance to ensure company expectations are satisfied regarding environmental, safety, cost effectiveness, quality assurance/control, project work plan, schedules and impact to the public. Works independently with some supervision as needed and on more complex responsibilities, mentors less experienced coordinators.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Develop, coordinate, implement and oversee various levels of construction and maintenance project plans in their entirety and monitor project status, modifying plans as needed to ensure timeliness and quality of projects is consistent with company standards.
  • Identify and select resources such as inspection, equipment, contractors and material procurement required to coordinate projects.
  • Direct, monitor and schedule contractors, inspectors and employees in construction and maintenance activities of pipeline construction, processing plants, storage facilities, terminals, gathering and/or transmission systems and appurtenances including measurement facilities, plant process equipment and controls, pipeline facilities; above and below grade; purchasing and materials; corrosion control; leakage survey.
  • Direct and monitor installation and/or maintenance of plant and pipeline equipment and facilities, including meter/regulator settings, tapping/pressure control equipment, storage tanks/scrubbers/dehydrators, pressure tests (air, gas, water).
  • Evaluate and recommend whether to repair or replace pipe and appurtenances.
  • Ensure contractors’ compliance with safety, quality, competency and performance standards, providing feedback to ensure company standards are being followed.
  • Provide information, recommendations, consultation and assistance to customers, contractors, inspectors, city/county/state officials, employees, management and others relative to company activities, policies and procedures.
  • Compile, prepare and/or verify information including operating activities, completion reports, accident reports, work orders, various budget recommendations and customer correspondence.
  • Respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions and to failures of safety precautions that could result in serious injury or property damage.
Education and Experience
  • Education: None required.
  • Work Experience: 1–3 years of experience and knowledge related to construction, maintenance and operation of pipeline systems and appurtenances preferred.
  • Experience and training: Transmission/gathering pipeline operations, pipeline construction, processing plants, storage facilities, company/governmental operating and safety procedures.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of the construction industry, maintenance and operation of pipeline systems and appurtenances.
  • Ability to apply basic math, execute work projects in their entirety, research, compose, reconcile and prepare reports, invoices, studies and correspondence.
  • Ability to monitor operations and situations to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures, interact, advise and communicate effectively, compile and prepare reports and recommendations.
  • Reading and interpreting manuals, policies, procedures, permits, governmental regulations, engineering plans, maps, job specifications, reports and correspondence.
  • Operate tools and equipment required, including computer applications and construction management platforms.
Licenses and Certifications

None required.

Physical Demands
  • Work involves exerting 20–50 pounds of force occasionally and 10–25 pounds frequently.
  • Responsibilities require standing, walking, sitting (occasionally), lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking and hearing as consistently or frequently as required.
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, wet or humid conditions, extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, gases, moving mechanical parts, electric shock, vibration, loud noises, repetitive motion, computer use, radiation and electromagnetic energy.
Travel and Driving

Travel to other locations and job sites out‑doors including extended stays greater than two weeks may be required. Employee may be assigned a company vehicle requiring the applicable driver's license.

Salary

Expected Salary Range: $85,000.00 – $127,000.00
