JOB SUMMARY
ONEOK, a Fortune 500 company and leading midstream energy infrastructure provider, is seeking a Project Manager I to support capital growth and maintenance capital projects across our entire Natural Gas Liquids segment. This role will lead project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply and subcontract management, progress reporting, troubleshooting, and people management. The Project Manager I will support DOT 195 pipeline and facility projects or PSM NGL fractionation and storage projects while collaborating with internal stakeholders, contractors and project teams to deliver safe, reliable and effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage project activities, demonstrating project management fundamentals for plant and process facility design, pipeline design, construction, operation and maintenance projects, measurement, regulation and control facilities, gas treating and compressor facilities, product storage, pumping, loading and handling facilities, SCADA, DCS and PLC control systems, and processing equipment including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, compressors, pumps, coolers, etc.
- Collect, review, and disseminate necessary information related to engineering services, scope definition, estimating, scheduling, design, bid instructions and bidding, procurement, construction, record keeping, right-of-way, and environmental activities.
- Perform project risk analysis and account for Monte Carlo simulation assistance.
- Provide input and critically review risk analysis results.
- Develop a business case for scope of work.
- Determine project phase and perform gap analysis for required definition levels.
- Clarify program management principles and integrate subset projects into the overall program.
- Generate program objectives, critical success factors and ensure projects align.
- Write scope definition documents and scope change management procedures, including formal MOC.
- Develop project controls, interface, and scope change management procedures.
- Support solution development that maximizes economic value within budgetary and resource constraints.
- Create a cost plan covering estimating, budgeting, and cost control & reporting.
- Account for contract strategies, construction quality assurance, pricing, labor productivity, and estimate development.
- Support complex project activities across all project phases.
- Develop interface and stakeholder management plans.
- Develop a project schedule showing the critical path and apply typical schedule control procedures.
- Validate contractor re‑baselined schedules against agreed criteria.
- Build and improve team performance, set objectives, measure progress, and persevere through obstacles.
- Lead the project team, obtain necessary resources, hire employees, contractors, vendors, and purchase equipment.
- Enhance communication skills and maintain online platforms for relevance and currency.
- Coordinate and attend meetings, assist in facilitation, and document requirements.
- Interact with reports, corporate personnel, public officials, contractors, customers, and civic organizations on engineering, employee, public projects, and scheduling.
- Provide technical and engineering assistance to other departments and external entities.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or closely related field.
- Five or more years of experience in engineering, operations, and/or project management at the PM I level.
- Experience with all phases of project management: scoping, estimating, specification, scheduling, contracting, procurement, construction, commissioning, budgeting, financial analyses, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with processing facilities, pipeline and related facility design, construction, operation, and maintenance projects, gas conditioning, processing, compressor facilities, pressure vessels, controls, and monitoring systems.
- Experience succeeding in goal setting, employee/team development, and influencing stakeholders.
- Experience with project management tools and software.
- Experience coordinating cross‑functional teams and securing cooperation.
- Experience preparing and administering contracts, engineering studies, policies, procedures, and technical correspondence.
- Knowledge of governmental regulations, codes, standards, manuals, and contracts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications; PROCORE preferred.
Desired Experience
- DOT 195 pipeline work.
- PSM NGL fractionation and storage projects.
- Knowledge of B31.3.
- Project management certification such as PMP (preferred).

- Describe the project organization plan and operational support needed.
- Describe information management plan objectives.
- Identify objectives and elements of risk management and analysis.
- Describe interface and stakeholder management aspects.
- Outline project quality policy and major quality activities.
- Explain scope control process procedures.
- Explain tools used for project scheduling, including work breakdown structure.
- Describe cost planning activities ensuring adequate funding.
- Monitor operations to ensure compliance with safety policies.
- Read and interpret construction specifications, engineering plans, regulatory documents, contracts, and safety manuals.
- Delegate work assignments and manage projects.
Licenses & Certifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.

Compensation
Expected Salary Range $108,000.00 - $162,000.00
