Controller – Full-Time (On-Site) – Fishers, IN

Salary: $125,000–$140,000 per year + Bonus

Our growing construction-focused organization is seeking a hands-on, strategic Controller to lead the accounting function and support ongoing expansion. With multiple projects, active job sites, and a strong pipeline, this role is critical to ensuring financial accuracy, project visibility, and operational success.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting
• Manage WIP schedules, job costing, and percentage-of-completion accounting
• Lead accounts payable, receivable, and cash flow management across multiple projects
• Prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support leadership decision-making
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls
• Partner with project managers and leadership to analyze job performance and profitability
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
• Construction or project-based accounting experience required
• Strong knowledge of WIP reporting, job costing, and revenue recognition
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
