Job summary

Solid Rock Recruiting, LLC. in Dallas, Texas, seeks an experienced, hands-on Controller for its Demolition Division.

You will oversee the division's accounting function, including AP, AR, and Payroll, and report to the Support Services Leader to ensure accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of construction accounting, knows project-based financials, and can take ownership from day one.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction accounting experience.
• Experience leading accounting personnel and day-to-day operations.
• Strong understanding of job costing, WIP schedules and project financial reporting.
• Experience overseeing AP, AR, and Payroll.
• Knowledge of general ledger accounting and month-end close.
• Familiarity with construction accounting software; Plexxis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations (AP, AR, Payroll).
• Lead and support accounting personnel with timely processing and reporting.
• Manage month-end close and general ledger.
• Establish internal controls and effective procedures.
• Monitor job costing and project profitability.
• Review project budgets, actuals, variances, and WIP schedules.
• Coordinate with operations to identify financial risks and improve processes.
