Job summary

LHH Indy is seeking a qualified Controller to join our team. You will work closely with leadership to coordinate all accounting activities, review project financials, and partner with Project Managers on costs across ongoing projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 8+ years accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or controller role, preferably in construction.
• Experience in a project-based, construction-oriented firm.
• Knowledge of construction accounting, cost tracking, AIA billings, capital draw requests, and project budgeting.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.

We are assisting our Indy construction and client in their search for a qualified Controller to add to their team. The Controller works closely with leadership to help coordinate all activities of the accounting department and partners with Project Managers to review financial aspects of all company projects. Tasks include tracking, analyzing, and reporting on costs associated with ongoing projects, month end WIP reporting, detailed project cost reports, and providing financial insights to support decision-making processes.
