Specialized Experience for GS-10: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Inspecting materials and/or workmanship on civil work projects; OR 2) Reviewing project documents to ensure contractor compliance with guidelines. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Specialized Experience for GS-11: One year of specialized experience which includes at least two of the following: 1) Monitoring contractors' quality control or inspection program; OR 2) Surveillance or inspection of the construction worksite for quality or safety; OR 3) Coordinating with agency or contractor personnel on construction projects during inspections. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10).
