Job summary

ARCO a Family of Construction Companies is seeking a Contract Specialist to support a fast-paced legal team. You will review and negotiate subcontracts, advise on insurance and obligations, and collaborate with project managers and finance to minimize risk.

The role requires 5+ years in contract roles and a legal background (JD or paralegal) with construction contract depth. This position offers strong growth, comprehensive benefits, and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

5+ years in contract administrator/manager roles.
JD, paralegal certificate or equivalent construction contract experience.
Knowledge of legal requirements related to contracts.
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to build solid relationships with Project Managers, Legal and Finance teams, and vendors.
Excellent customer service and verbal/written communication; highly organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

Review and negotiate subcontracts and vendor agreements aligned with internal policies.
Advise Project Managers on insurance and contractual obligations.
Maintain understanding of standard downstream forms.
Collaborate with controllers and operations stakeholders.
Suggest edits to downstream forms and coordinate changes under leadership.
Interpret contract provisions to resolve subcontractor questions.
Identify risks from contract changes and analyze/reduce risk.
