Job summary

CROM, LLC in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Contracts Analyst to ensure compliance with government regulations and to manage contracts and subcontracts across multiple projects.

The role supports Risk and Legal teams, negotiates terms with general contractors, subcontractors and vendors, drafts and edits drafts, reviews NDAs and POs, and provides guidance to project management on contractual risk using strong writing and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in legal studies, business administration, engineering, construction management, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in-house for a professional services company, preferably in engineering or construction.
• Minimum 3 years' contract management and procurement experience on construction projects.
• Proven experience negotiating and creating contracts.
• Knowledge of subcontracting, insurance and bond requirements, term resolution negotiations.
• Ability to prioritize under tight timelines and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail oriented with strong interpersonal & customer service skills.
• Proficient in MS Office; advanced Word skills required.

Responsibilities

• Support Risk and Legal teams with preparation, negotiation, and execution of commercial contracts across CROM’s lines of business.
• Assist bidding and project teams with questions pertaining to insurance and bond requirements, subcontracts, purchase orders, vendor agreements, etc.
• Coordinate with Risk and Legal Team and advise Project Management on contractual risk and provide mitigation recommendations.
• Participate in risk reviews and functional management team reviews.
• Negotiate with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and clients on key commercial and legal terms to reduce risk exposure.
• Serve as primary escalation for complex contractual issues, dispute avoidance, and risk interpretation.
• Prepare draft contract and bid risk reviews with edits to circulate to internal project teams
• Prepare drafts of RFIs for bidding team
• Evaluate MVRs and driving privilege recommendations for new hires or other internal CROM employees
• Provide pre-claim and claim support to Legal/Risk and project teams as required
