Job description

EPC Contract Specialist – Renewable Energy
About the Role

Be part of the team helping bring large-scale renewable energy projects to life. We’re looking for an EPC Contract Specialist to support the development, negotiation, and execution of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts across a growing renewable energy portfolio.

In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of project management, construction, and commercial risk, helping ensure contracts are structured effectively, project teams follow established processes, and potential risks are addressed before they impact project delivery. You’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders and external contractors, contribute to contract negotiations, and help improve the tools and processes used to execute projects successfully.

What You’ll Do
  • Support Contract Execution: Help ensure EPC contracts across renewable energy projects follow established standards, industry best practices, and internal contracting processes.
  • Drive Consistency and Process Improvement: Maintain standardized contract templates and documentation, support updates to contract requirements, and identify opportunities to streamline contracting processes and reduce risk.
  • Contribute to Risk Management: Learn to identify potential contractual risks, support risk mitigation strategies, and help ensure key considerations are addressed throughout the contracting process.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with project management, engineering, construction, legal, and commercial stakeholders to support contract development, negotiations, and timely execution.
  • Build Contractor Relationships: Help coordinate discussions with EPC contractors, encourage collaboration across projects, and support effective contract management across the broader project portfolio.
  • Track Project and Contract Progress: Monitor contract status, document compliance with established standards, and communicate updates and potential issues to leadership.
  • Support Continuous Improvement: Contribute to initiatives that strengthen contract governance, improve documentation, and create more efficient and consistent contracting practices.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, legal studies, or a related technical or legal discipline.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in project management, engineering, construction, contracting, or a related field involving large-scale projects.
  • Exposure to drafting, reviewing, or negotiating complex contracts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving, process improvement, and risk management.
Nice to Have
  • Experience supporting the development or execution of EPC contracts.
  • Background in the power, renewable energy, construction, or infrastructure industries.
  • Familiarity with contract management processes, risk mitigation, or standardized contract documentation.
  • Strong relationship-building, conflict resolution, and collaborative leadership skills.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 10% as needed.
Why This Opportunity?

You’ll gain exposure to complex renewable energy projects and the commercial decisions that help bring them from development to execution. Working alongside experienced professionals across multiple disciplines, you’ll build valuable expertise in EPC contracting, risk management, and project delivery while helping improve the processes that support a growing renewable energy portfolio.
