Job summary

FCC Construcción is seeking a Contract Manager to oversee contract-management functions for the assigned project and coordinate with the Commercial Manager and project team to ensure compliance with contracts, customer requirements, and applicable law.

The role emphasizes enforcing contractual interests, evaluating changes and claims, and supporting procurement and reporting activities across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, construction management or related field; MBA or JD preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in contract-management within construction, or 3 years in heavy civils contract management.
• Ability to interact with Executives, Directors and Managers across the project team.
• Strong negotiating and communication skills with ability to lead or support commercial negotiations.
• Commercial acumen with a proactive approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Enforce and defend contractual interests of assigned subcontracts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and report subcontractor issues within prime contract constraints and applicable law.
• Fairly evaluate subcontractor changes and claims with respect to cause, effect, entitlement, pricing, and substantiation.
• Prepare and/or review draft contractual correspondence for assigned subcontracts.
• Assist in preparation of prime-contract notices, change requests, claims and related correspondence.
• Develop strategies to prevent or mitigate risk exposure for the project team.
• Ensure compliance and manage maintenance of required contractual securities and insurance.
• Assist in development and implementation of contract-management policies and systems.
• Assist in monthly reports on contractual and commercial matters.
• Maintain logs and records for subcontractor contracts, changes, claims, risks & opportunities.
• Complete all contract close-out activities and validate commercial obligations.
• Support Procurement with contract terms and conditions as needed.
