This position performs advanced engineering, architectural, construction inspection, or other technical project management work. It provides leadership in all aspects of architectural or engineering construction projects, including planning and controlling project elements. Responsibilities include reviewing and developing project objectives, maintaining project integrity, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws, policies, and procedures. The role involves quality assurance/quality control and requires extensive contact with agency management, governmental officials, and private entities. Typically reports to Section/Staff level managers and serves as a project leader and coordinator, with employees being virtually self-supervising and directly accountable for their work.
Responsibilities for a Technical Project Manager I or II include:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline. Relevant experience may substitute education on a year-for-year basis.
Experience:
Experience can be satisfied by full-time or prorated part-time work. College education or technical training may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver’s license (required for driving a state vehicle).
