Construction Concrete and Masonry Foreman in Omaha NE

Pay Rate: $30-35 per hour

Responsibilities

1. Assist craftsmen in their work within a designated construction area, ensuring adherence to standards.
2. Supervise assigned workers to ensure construction complies with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
3. Identify hazards and ensure safety by halting operations or removing employees from dangerous environments.
4. Mix cement using appropriate tools or machinery.
5. Load, transport, unload, and supply materials, tools, and equipment.
6. Maintain cleanliness and restock supplies as needed.
7. Rig scaffolding according to guidelines.
8. Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials during installation.
9. Perform minor maintenance on tools and equipment.
10. Remove rough spots from concrete and patch holes as needed.
11. Supervise and coordinate activities of workers, communicate progress, and adjust work sequences to meet schedules.
12. Ensure safety policies are understood and followed by workers.
13. Liaise with customer representatives and report potential issues to management.

Requirements

• Ability to follow directions, perform varied duties, and work accurately.
• Ability to identify hazards and work safely in potentially dangerous environments.
• Sufficient reading, writing, and math skills to understand safety policies and instructions.
• Ability to read drawings and communicate effectively.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, lift heavy loads, climb, and work at heights or in extreme temperatures.
• Comfort with using tablet computers.
• Experience with production and material tracking.
