Your Role as a Client Representative

As a Client Representative, you will be essential to our success by building strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction, and helping us grow. Your responsibilities include understanding client needs, communicating effectively internally, and pursuing new opportunities for expansion. Your efforts will directly impact client retention, business development, and our reputation for advancing communities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Representation:
   • Act as a liaison between field services construction and other disciplines.
   • Attend all construction meetings.
   • Serve as the day-to-day construction representative for clients.
   • Communicate construction issues, offering solutions and recommendations.
   • Support business development and client satisfaction efforts.
   • Understand OHM’s services and their relevance to clients.
2. Project Oversight & Administration:
   • Maintain project logs during preliminary design.
   • Enforce contract compliance per plans and specifications.
   • Complete project closeouts and ensure documentation and inspections are finalized.
   • Conduct constructability QA/QC reviews.
   • Prepare 'as built' plans upon project completion.
3. Staff Management:
   • Manage staff and sub-consultants during construction.
   • Identify staffing needs and assist in hiring.
   • Provide coaching, training, and performance reviews.
   • Approve reports, timesheets, and expenses.
   • Ensure staff have necessary tools and training.

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
2. At least 10 years of experience in water main, sewer, roads, and stormwater systems.
3. Knowledge of construction practices and local, state, federal requirements.
4. Michigan PE license preferred but not required.
5. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS.
6. Positive attitude and eagerness for professional growth.
