The Claim Representative is a claim handling role within the Complex Claims Unit (CCU)–Construction - Hartford Global Specialty (HGS) Claims Division. CCU is a highly specialized claim organization. This roleis responsible forthe management of construction related general liability claims involving bodily injury,propertydamageand/or construction defect frominceptionto final disposition.These claims will involve both primary and excess coverages and often involve complex fact patterns requiring analysis of contracts between parties todetermineindemnity and contribution obligations and risk transfer opportunities.These claims also commonly involve litigation along with higher exposures. TheClaim Representativeis accountable for delivering superior customer service and successfully investigating and managing claim exposures consistent with corporate claim standards, policies and procedures and statutory, regulatory and ethics requirements.
The Claim Representative willdemonstratethe ability to proactivelymanage high excess and lower-exposure primaryclaims with an analytical focus, demonstrating the ability to comprehend and communicate facts, issues, and resolution strategies to management and other stakeholders.
