Position Overview

Swank Construction Company, LLC has been a leader in highway construction for over 90 years in Pittsburgh, PA. We are seeking a CDL Driver to join our Construction Division. We strongly encourage females, minorities, veterans, and individuals with disabilities to apply.

Responsibilities

• Operate large company vehicles including tri-axle dump trucks and polyester concrete mixers.
• Coordinate with batch plant personnel for loading materials and ensure proper mixing.
• Transport concrete mixtures safely to construction sites, following designated routes and adhering to traffic laws.
• Monitor quality during mixing, transportation, and pouring, reporting issues as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and report mechanical issues.
• Follow all safety protocols, wear PPE, and handle chemicals safely.
• Comply with all company, DOT, and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness at job sites and ensure proper storage of equipment.
• Willing to learn various aspects of the CDL Driver role and perform additional tasks as directed.

Work Schedule

• Available to work varied shifts including days, nights, and weekends.
• Willing to travel for extended periods.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid CDL Class A license.
• Hazmat Endorsement.
• Up-to-date DOT Medical Card.

Experience & Skills

• Experience operating CDL vehicles or relevant experience.
• Mechanical aptitude.

Additional Requirements

• Minimum age of 18.
• Ability to pass drug screens, background checks, and MVR review.
• Willingness to join a union if not already a member.
