Job summary

IPS is seeking a CDL Driver/Shop Support to safely operate heavy company vehicles (CDL Class A) and assist in maintaining the shop and equipment. The role requires a clean driving record, commercial driving experience, and the ability to work independently in construction settings.

Responsibilities include delivering materials to project sites, securing loads, executing route planning, and supporting shop duties such as cleaning and tool orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of proven experience in commercial truck driving.
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license and a clean driving record with no moving violations.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Proficient in using GPS and routing systems.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company assigned construction vehicles with GVW over 26,000 lbs.
• Transport goods to construction project sites following client procedures.
• Secure contents to prevent damage or injury during transit.
• Obtain signatures to confirm deliveries with clients.
• Map routes and monitor weather/road conditions before departures.
• Communicate with dispatch for delivery updates or issues.
• Maintain driving and delivery logs accurately.
• Inspect vehicle before and after trips and keep it clean.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and notify management of major issues.
• Assist in loading/unloading and with forklift when certified.
• Maintain safety compliance with ICC and DOT regulations.
