Responsibilities also include designing, cutting, and measuring materials to meet client specifications.

Job Duties, Responsibilities, Skills, and Abilities

• Accurately measure, mark, and arrange materials to establish layouts based on blueprints or supervisor instructions.
• Cut and shape structures, forms, or fixtures from wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, etc.
• Utilize hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects.
• Follow directions for tasks such as remodeling, deck building, new constructions, siding, and general construction.
• Understand how to interpret blueprints and instructions.
• Read tape measures accurately and perform mathematical calculations swiftly.
• Maintain proper care and use of tools.
• Possess a thorough understanding of carpentry principles and methods.

Education and Experience
