Job summary

Deploy's Client seeks a skilled Team Lead Carpenter to guide a small crew on modular construction sites, ensuring high-quality finishes, productivity, and safety compliance.

You will read blueprints, manage tasks, and coordinate with other trades while maintaining a clean, safe job site and mentoring junior carpenters.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of high-end interior finish carpentry experience.
• Prior on-site management or lead experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
• Proficient with measurement tools and layout.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically able to stand, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to travel 100%.

Responsibilities

• Direct and mentor a team of carpenters, apprentices, and laborers on active construction sites.
• Assign team members scheduled tasks based on skillsets.
• Explain project expectations and monitor performance.
• Perform fine carpentry including framing, installation, drywall finishing, trim.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
• Use measurement tools to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
• Monitor work to ensure quality standards and project requirements are met.
• Enforce safety policies and procedures.
• Identify and rectify defects before final handover.
• Coordinate with other trades to ensure smooth workflow and scheduling.
• Maintain tools, materials, and a clean organized job site.
• Communicate progress to Foreman or Project Manager.
• Train, mentor, and support crew members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Team Lead Carpenter to support field operations on modular construction projects. This role combines hands on work with leadership responsibilities, guiding a small crew while ensuring high quality finishes, productivity, and adherence to safety standards on site.

• Conduct regular inspections to ensure all work meets the company's zero-punch list quality standards.

• Communicate progress, needs, and concerns to the Foreman or Project Manager.
• Train, mentor, and support crew members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Skills & Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in high end interior finish carpentry, and related trade.
• Prior on-site management or lead experience preferred.
• Ability to complete projects within budget.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
• Ability to use measurement tools accurately.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and job site safety practices.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs while working in physically demanding environments.
• Reliable with strong work ethics and attention to detail.
• Ability to travel 100%.
