POSITION SUMMARY

Carpenters will work on our construction projects related to bridges, pile driving, retention, structural concrete, or general carpentry. Required skills include following safety procedures, blueprint and spec reading, measurement, use of hand tools and large machines, forming, fabrication, construction, rigging and slinging, welding, signaling, scaffold constructing, and fastening. The scope of work aligns with the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

Benefits

Starting wage: $42.25-$45.75/hour depending on Union Contract. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, LIFE/ADD, disability coverage, member assistance, a pension plan, and a vacation fund.

Position Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Previous construction or physical job experience preferred.
• Physically capable of standing, squatting, bending, lifting, and walking for long durations in all weather conditions, including highway work zones.
• Ability to listen, follow directions, work as a team, and assist in training less experienced employees.
• Ability to adhere to all safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Completion of additional project-specific skills training as required.
