Job summary

Janotta & Herner, a northern Ohio design/build contractor headquartered in Monroeville, is seeking a Construction CAD Designer/Drafter. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to plan, coordinate and create complete construction drawings for assigned projects.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or certification in architectural drafting or similar.
• 5–10 years of experience preferred in construction CAD drafting.
• Proficient in CAD software; experience with Revit and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Meet with project team to understand design requirements and scope.
• Analyze project risks and verify measurements and dimensions for drawings.
• Gather information and prepare construction drawings and documents.
• Provide design recommendations based on requirements, budget, site, and trends.
• Produce construction-grade drawing sets using CAD and/or Revit.
• Prepare preliminary designs for bidding and work acquisition.
• Create drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Handle additional duties as assigned.
