Description

Would you like to see a different part of your city every day from a bird’s eye view? Our Lamar office in Bridgeport, Connecticut is hiring an Operations crew member to install and maintain billboards. We provide training and equipment to start your career in outdoor advertising.

The role involves installing advertisements, maintaining structures, and keeping billboards attractive. Typically, you'll work as part of an installation crew.

What You Can Expect From Us

• Work schedule: Mon - Thurs, 6:30 am - 3:30 pm, and Friday 6:30 am - 10:30 am.
• Hourly pay: $20 - $22, based on experience.
• 120 hours of paid time off, increasing with tenure.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills, fluent in English.
• Team player willing to work well with others.
• Basic computer skills (Internet, Word, Excel).
• Adherence to safety standards.
• Ability to work from ladders and carry tools.
• Knowledge of electrical and fabrication skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and diagrams.
• Understanding of safety regulations (Lamar, DOT, OSHA).
• Ability to work at heights and document work.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Completion of OSHA 10-hour Construction course.
• Preferred certifications: CDL, Crane, Signal, Rigging, LDD.
• Experience working at heights up to 200 ft. is preferred.

A Day in the Life

Installing and maintaining billboards, repairing structures, using tools safely, attending safety meetings, maintaining vehicles and equipment, and documenting work with photos and logs.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Outdoor work in various weather, climbing heights up to 200 ft., heavy lifting (up to 100 lbs.), and other physical activities. Travel and on-call shifts may be required.
