Job summary

Qualifications

• Four-year degree and/or at least three years of estimating, purchasing, or quantity surveying experience.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under deadlines.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to read commercial construction plans and specifications.
• Ability to work autonomously from bid initiation to award.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and manage the entire bid process with detailed bid packages and proper subcontractor submissions.
• Prepare estimates at all design stages: Conceptual through Construction Documents.
• Create quantity takeoffs and estimate costs for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Solicit proposals from subcontractors based on drawings and walk-throughs.
• Prepare subcontractor bid forms and scopes of work for all trades.
• Review drawings for pricing accuracy and identify value engineering opportunities.
