Job summary

Bechtel Corporation seeks an Automation Support Specialist to provide project‑level automation assistance in Brownsville, TX. Responsibilities include setting up databases, QA, and supporting Power Platform tools to improve construction processes.

You will train end users, develop data quality tools, and coordinate data transfers across platforms to support the Rio Grande LNG project.

Qualifications

• Requires a University Hire with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer, test, and implement computer databases.
• Create, establish, and maintain integrity of Construction Databases for PowerApps, dashboards, and enhancements.
• Coordinate with design engineering and construction automation to implement automated data transfers between apps.
• Configure and support construction applications to meet project requirements.
• Understand reporting needs and configure reports accordingly.
• Ensure reports reflect accurate data and function as intended.
• Review and troubleshoot data for accuracy and completeness.
• Develop quality applications and tools to detect data quality issues.
• Provide training and technical support to end users, including field engineering and site personnel.
• Evaluate and monitor data exchanges across platforms to resolve sync issues.
• Establish standardized application usage across projects to enable scalability.
• Design and implement an automated system mapping cost codes to standard construction materials.
• Contribute to software tools to identify and model construction elements.
• Facilitate cross-discipline discussions to mitigate data quality root causes.
• Conduct training on Power Platform activities for new hires and interns.
