Job summary

Orion Placement seeks an experienced construction law attorney to join our focused practice, advising contractors, owners, developers, and industry participants on disputes, contracts, and risk management. You will handle matters from strategy through resolution while building trusted client relationships.

Candidates must have 4+ years in construction law and hold an active bar license in Indiana or Kentucky.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of construction law attorney experience.
• Active Kentucky bar license for the Louisville office or active Indiana bar license for the Evansville office.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, claims, disputes, litigation, or closely related construction matters.
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, negotiation, and client communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage matters while collaborating effectively with colleagues and clients.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in a broad range of construction law matters, including disputes, claims, contracts, and related litigation.
• Counsel construction industry clients on legal risks, contractual obligations, and practical strategies for resolving issues.
• Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts and other project-related agreements.
• Manage matters from initial strategy through resolution while maintaining strong communication with clients.
• Conduct legal research, prepare motions, briefs, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Collaborate with attorneys and clients to identify issues early and develop efficient, business-minded solutions.
• Participate in negotiations, mediations, hearings, litigation, and other dispute resolution proceedings as appropriate.
