Qualifications

• Active California bar and ABA membership required.
• 5–10 years of litigation experience in construction law.
• Construction law specialty strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of labor law, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Ability to manage a heavy caseload with minimal supervision.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, modify, and create construction contracts, government contracts, and contractor agreements that protect from potential general liability and payment issues.
• Provide legal counsel by analyzing client needs and defining strategy and action.
• Prepare legal documents such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and claims.
• Resolve construction claims and disputes to avoid litigation where possible.
• Mediate, arbitrate, litigate, and argue motions in court.
• Supervise staff and coordinate client billing and meetings.
