The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience with construction law and litigation in a sophisticated law firm setting, with a professional background in the construction industry strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from a highly regarded law school with excellent academic credentials.
• Admission to Tennessee bar in good standing, or ability to become licensed in Tennessee.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Construction industry background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent construction industry clients (contractors, developers, owners) in disputes arising over commercial construction projects, construction defect claims, and other complex construction disputes.
• Review, draft, and advise clients on construction contracts, including AIA contracts.
• Conduct legal research and writing; manage discovery; draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
