Job summary

Superior invites motivated students to join our internship program for Spring 2027 in Columbus, Ohio. As a Construction Assistant Project Manager Intern you will gain hands-on exposure to project operations on a jobsite, with guidance from our team and opportunities for leadership training.

Gain experience with drawings, RFIs, submittals, schedules, permits, and closeout documentation while contributing to real projects and site safety coordination.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Construction Systems Management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support project documentation including construction drawings, requests for information, submittals, and meeting minutes
• Document weekly project owner’s meetings and decisions
• Post drawings and specifications with most recent information
• Assist the Project Operations team with site safety documentation and coordination
• Assist in the management of project permit processes
• Help maintain and distribute project schedule
• Assist the Project Operations team with closeout of project, including generation of project punch list and documentation
• Collaborate and demonstrate teamwork in a project setting

Position: Construction Assistant Project Manager Intern
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour

Superior is looking for highly motivated and energetic students to participate in our internship program during the Spring term (January - April). When you join Superior, you join a national leader in electrical design and construction. In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, we provide our interns with lunch-and-learns, leadership training, career prep, unique jobsite visits, and beyond.

Under the guidance of our Project Operations team, the Assistant Project Manager Intern will gain exposure to our jobsites and how we keep our projects moving forward, including contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration. This role is based on a jobsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Support project documentation including construction drawings, requests for information, submittals, and meeting minutes
