Job summary

Eastern Companies is seeking a detail-oriented Project Coordinator to assist in planning, scheduling, and budgeting across commercial construction projects. The role involves coordinating with design teams, managing documents in Procore, and ensuring timely delivery of preconstruction deliverables.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in construction, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Procore and MS Office.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in commercial construction or related field.
  • Basic understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and terminology.
  • Procore, Microsoft Office Suite, and scheduling software proficiency.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and maintenance of project schedules and logistics plans.
  • Coordinate with the design team and consultants to ensure document accuracy and issue resolution.
  • Assist with permit acquisition, utility coordination, and preconstruction deliverables.
  • Help track project costs and assist in budget management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review and compile subcontractor invoices and vendor pay applications.
  • Assist in preparing and managing change orders and cost events.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and Field Superintendent to coordinate field and office operations.
  • Help manage subcontractor and supplier relationships through timely communication and coordination.
  • Participate in progress meetings and assist in documenting and distributing meeting minutes and action items.
  • Conduct site walks to monitor quality and scope compliance.
  • Assist with punch list management and project closeout documentation.
  • Maintain and organize project documentation within Procore and other platforms.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Support daily and weekly reporting to ensure consistent project updates and transparency.
  • Support safety compliance by working with the Safety Manager.
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating potential project risks.

Key Responsibilities:
