Job summary

E.S. Wagner Company, a heavy civil and highway construction firm, seeks an AP/AR Construction Contract Coordinator in the Oregon, OH area.

The role coordinates between field operations, accounting, payroll, and subcontractors, ensuring paperwork is accurate and processed efficiently. Responsibilities include contract execution, project start-up and closeout, managing invoices, subcontracts, and change orders, and supporting project costing and revenue tracking.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Construction Management preferred.
• 2+ years' experience as a Project Assistant / Contract Coordinator preferred.
• Strong background in job cost accounting.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook required.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
• Capacity to work independently and within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Function as a liaison between field operations, accounting department, payroll department, and subcontractors, ensuring all paperwork is received and processed
• Provide support for project management and field operations through the administration of project documents, including maintaining contract files and accounting documentation
• Responsible for contract execution, project start-up, and closeout
• Complete day to day projects administrative duties in the office and/ or field projects
• Prepare/ execute contracts including change orders, purchase orders, subcontracts, and service contracts
• Process invoices (verifying, coding, scanning entering invoices)
• Process subcontractor payments
• Assist with job costing and revenue tracking for each project
• Maintaining and renewing contract documentation & requirements
