Ready to take your skills to the next level? Tri-State Bobcat, a trusted leader in the industry for over 40 years, is expanding and looking for a skilled Construction and Compact Equipment Mechanic to join our team. We offer the chance to work with an extensive line of compact construction, forestry, and grounds equipment at our Hudson, WI location.

With competitive pay ranging from $29.00 to $39.00 per hour, plus overtime, you'll be rewarded for your experience, mechanical expertise, and problem-solving skills. Enjoy a great work-life balance with typical hours Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays 8a-12p.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of compact construction and heavy equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure top-notch performance
  • Order parts and maintain inventory as needed for repairs
  • Communicate job progress with the service manager and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Inspect and test equipment after repairs are completed
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of work orders, parts, and labor
  • Uphold safety standards and keep your work area organized and efficient
  • Participate in company-paid training to stay current with new equipment and technology updates (including limited out-of-state training)

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a mechanic in diesel engine repair and service
  • A complete set of tools (eligible for our Tool Allowance Program to help you grow your collection!)
  • Experience with hydraulic/hydrostatic systems, electrical systems, and troubleshooting
  • Experience operating Bobcat or similar compact construction equipment
  • Strong computer skills for diagnostics and record-keeping
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent time management skills and a commitment to completing jobs on schedule
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, and perform other physical tasks in various work environments
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
