Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant in Wildwood, FL to support construction project accounting, including WIP scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and GAAP compliance. This on-site, permanent role requires Timberline experience and a solid background in GL management and financial reporting.

Responsibilities include full-cycle accounting for construction projects, preparing financial statements, developing budgets, and providing strategic analysis to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction.
• Strong knowledge of Construction WIP, month-end close, year-end close, GL, forecasting, financial reporting, budgeting, and GAAP.
• Proficiency with Timberline software and understanding of ASC 606.
• CPA or CMA certification will be considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the full cycle of accounting activities for construction projects, including Construction WIP, month-end and year-end close, and GL management.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements with proper controls.
• Develop and manage project budgets, perform variance analyses, and prepare cost reports.
• Conduct forecasting activities and provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, ASC 606, and other applicable standards.
• Collaborate with project managers to gather data for transaction analysis.
• Use Timberline software for accounting operations.
• Continuously improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
