Job summary

Sterling Group, a family-owned real estate investment services firm, seeks a Construction Accounting Administrator in Mishawaka, Indiana. You will support project teams with accounts payable, vendor setup, budgets, and draw preparations across construction, development, and mini storage divisions.

Ideal candidates have strong AP and bookkeeping experience, attention to detail, and familiarity with Yardi or Sage Intacct; a collaborative mindset and service-oriented approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred or equivalent accounting experience (3 years).
• Strong Accounts Payable and Bookkeeping experience.
• Excellent attention to detail with accounting figures and documents.
• Experience with Yardi and Sage Intacct preferred but not required.
• Positive demeanor and effective communicator.
• Service minded and client-focused both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Project Managers on Accounts Payable.
• Add vendors, enter invoices and issue checks for construction, development and mini storage teams.
• Verify budgets within job cost modules.
• Distribute job cost reporting to construction leaders.
• Prepare draws for HUD, conventional financing and mini storage jobs.
• Gather documents for equity installments and draw preparation.
• Print and distribute AP checks monthly per draw funding.
• Prepare and record insurance risk monthly reporting.
• Prepare and record payroll allocations.
• Monitor building turns and Certificates of Occupancies.
• Administer AP check runs twice monthly.
• Set up job files and coordinate new draws electronically.
