Job summary

Heritage Construction + Materials, a Heritage Group company, seeks a Director of Accounting in Indianapolis, IN, to lead the general accounting function, drive the month-end/year-end close, and partner with operations for accurate reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance and 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with CPA preferred and a track record in construction or manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in public and/or corporate settings.
• 5+ years leading accounting teams and influencing cross-functional partners.
• CPA certification preferred and strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the general accounting function and close processes.
• Directs the financial statement audit and coordinates with external auditors.
• Manages accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and payroll tax functions.
• Partners with operations and project leadership to provide accurate financial reporting and insights.
