Job summary

Wegner CPAs in Middleton, WI is seeking an Accountant to join their team and take ownership of a broad range of accounting tasks in a hands-on role.

The position is full-time, on-site with a Monday–Friday schedule, offering a $70,000–$80,000 salary plus bonus potential. You’ll contribute to AP/AR, GL, payroll tax reporting, and cost tracking while collaborating with a small, driven team.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable & Receivable: manage vendor invoices, customer billing and payments.
• General Ledger & Reconciliations: maintain records and reconcile accounts.
• Financial Reporting: assist with statements and month-end activities.
• Job Cost Accounting: track project expenses and cost allocations.
• Payroll Tax Reporting: prepare payroll tax reports and filings.
• Accounting Administration: maintain documentation and improve processes.
