Responsibilities

• Manage job cost accounting for multiple construction projects.
• Prepare and maintain accurate Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, billings, and overall project profitability.
• Perform project accounting and financial analysis throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with accounting standards.
• Reconcile project costs and investigate budget variances.
• Partner with project managers and operations teams to provide financial reporting and project insights.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Maintain accurate financial data within a construction ERP system.
• Develop and maintain reporting tools using Microsoft Excel.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting best practices.

Position Summary

The Construction Accountant will play a key role in managing the financial performance of construction projects through accurate job costing, project accounting, Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting, and revenue recognition.
