Job summary

Staff Financial Group is seeking an Entry Level Staff Accountant to support construction accounting operations for multiple projects in Atlanta. This full-time, in-office role offers exposure to project accounting, AP, and month-end close in a growing construction environment.

You will assist with job cost coding, process construction invoices, and help maintain accurate ledgers while building a path toward increased responsibility within the accounting department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 1-3+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with construction accounting and project cost control is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction accounting activities across multiple projects.
• Process construction-related invoices and maintain accurate financial records.
• Perform job cost coding and monitor project costs.
• Administer construction accounts payable and vendor payment processes.
• Review and maintain COIs, lien waivers, and vendor compliance documentation.
• Track paid-when-paid payment requirements.
• Assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.

• Assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
