The City of Oakland is conducting a national search for the Constitutional Policing Administrator (CPA). This at-will management role embeds within the Oakland Police Department (OPD) and regularly provides updates to the Mayor and City Administrator on OPD operations, policies and procedures, ensuring constitutional policing adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement, public administration, or related field.
• Five years of professional experience in investigations, audits, or policy analysis.
• Valid California Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compliance, technical assistance and accountability within OPD.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to build public trust in policing.
• Update Mayor and City Administrator on OPD operations and policy matters.

Education

Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or related field
