A leading university seeks a qualified individual to manage membership programs for the Academy of International Business. This role involves administrative responsibilities, communication with members, and support for event coordination, including travel requirements. Applicants should possess a Master's degree and relevant experience in organizational settings.
Position Summary: Coordinates and manages membership programs and activities for the Academy of International Business (https://aib.world) located at Michigan State University and performs other duties as assigned. Reports to the Managing Director. Directly communicates with members to address membership needs and inquiries. Provides administrative services with a primary focus on membership and conference registration processing for the AIB and its shared interest groups, chapters, affiliates, and committees to support, strengthen, and expand programs. Assists the AIB staff as well as the AIB Executive Board, committee members, shared interest group, and chapter chairs in the development of goals and programs. Oversees and processes member services and program activities such as conferences, symposiums, and workshops. Works closely with the Communications Manager on newsletters, social media posts, and other communications as applicable. The role involves regular collaboration with AIB’s Communications Manager, Operations Manager, and AIB Treasurer/Components Coordinator. Prepares and analyzes results of evaluation instruments such as membership reports, conference registrations, and scholarships. Travels both domestically and globally at least once a year for up to 10 days at a time for onsite conference/event support. Nights and weekends may be required during conference/event peak times.
Knowledge equivalent to that which would normally be acquired by completing a Master's degree in an appropriate field; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in organizational administration or a field closely related to the purpose of the consortium; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Candidates must have experience working with/for a professional association; communicating with a global academic audience; processing payment transactions including membership dues and conference registration fees; experience assisting with the coordination of all, or some of, the following: conferences, workshops, board meetings, scholarships, awards event logistics; analyzing and reporting on membership and conference statistics; financial analysis and budgeting. This position requires the ability to travel both domestically and internationally as conditions allow.
Experience with data management and analysis; experience utilizing computer technology to solve problems; ability and interest to connect with a global academic audience. Experience with WordPress and experience managing social media platforms.
