This position is ideal for an accounting professional who has evolved from traditional accounting, reporting, or audit roles into financial data governance and reporting support. The successful candidate will possess a strong accounting foundation combined with a passion for financial data quality, controls, reporting, and process improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Own chart of accounts governance, including account structure, hierarchy management, financial reporting mappings, and accounting metadata standards.
  • Support consolidation and reporting processes by ensuring financial data is complete, accurate, and aligned across legal entities, business units, and reporting structures.
  • Lead reconciliation and validation activities across financial reporting and consolidation processes to ensure consistency and accuracy of reported results.
  • Partner with accounting teams to evaluate the impact of organizational, legal entity, and reporting structure changes on financial reporting and consolidation activities.
  • Support the preparation and analysis of consolidated financial results by maintaining reporting structures, mappings, and governance controls.
  • Establish and maintain financial data governance policies, controls, and documentation supporting SOX compliance and audit readiness.
  • Partner with internal and external auditors by providing documentation, reconciliations, and support for financial reporting and control-related reviews.
  • Support finance stakeholders with reporting requests, financial analysis, hierarchy updates, and issue resolution related to financial data integrity.
  • Identify opportunities to improve close, consolidation, and reporting processes through automation, standardization, and enhanced financial data management practices.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, Internal Audit, and IT teams to investigate and resolve financial reporting discrepancies and data quality issues.
  • Maintain governance over financial reporting access, approval workflows, and financial data controls to support segregation of duties and compliance requirements.
What You'll Bring
  • Strong accounting foundation with experience in Corporate Accounting, Financial Reporting, Consolidations, Controllership, Audit, or related finance functions.
  • Deep understanding of financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, consolidation processes, close activities, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience managing and governing chart of accounts structures, financial hierarchies, reporting dimensions, and accounting metadata.
  • Strong knowledge of SOX controls, financial reporting governance, and internal control frameworks.
  • Experience supporting multi-entity and complex organizational structures within a large corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to reconcile large volumes of financial data, identify variances, investigate root causes, and drive issue resolution.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data quality, accuracy, and financial reporting integrity.
  • Experience partnering with accounting leadership, external auditors, finance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to balance technical accounting knowledge with strong financial data management and reporting capabilities.
  • CPA, public accounting, or large-company corporate accounting experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting consolidation and reporting platforms is preferred.
