Job summary

Bloomberg is seeking an experienced Accountant to join the Consolidations Reporting team within the Chief Accounting Office. You will support Bloomberg's monthly close, prepare the consolidated close package for senior leadership, and provide analytics on financial results.

You will partner with Corporate Accounting, Technical Accounting, Financial Reporting, FP&A, and Finance Systems to ensure accuracy and transparency of Bloomberg's consolidated reporting.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of accounting, financial reporting, consolidations, or external reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement presentation.
• Experience supporting month-end and quarter-end close processes.
• Ability to analyze financial results and investigate variances.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain monthly consolidated close package for senior accounting and finance leadership.
• Perform analytical reviews of consolidated balance sheet and income statement results.
• Partner with Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting to support quarterly reporting and provide analytics.
• Support monthly consolidated close process for timely and accurate reporting.
• Coordinate with accounting teams to ensure consistency, completeness, and accuracy of consolidated information.
• Review intercompany, elimination, and consolidation activities for accuracy and GAAP compliance.
• Monitor and improve balance sheet reconciliation and account certification processes.
• Collaborate with Finance Systems to enhance reporting and close management across SAP, Oracle, BlackLine, and Workiva.
