Workforce Services Division (WSD) is made up of three Lines of Business: WorkSource, Central Operations System Support, and Washington Service Corps (WSC). WSD administers the Labor Exchange (LEX), Migrant Seasonal Farmworker (MSFW), Veterans Services, Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA), and WorkFirst and RESEA programs for job seekers and employers in Washington and provides job seekers with referrals to partners providing Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) adult, youth, and dislocated worker training and support services.
As a CVSR, you will promote veteran hiring, strengthen employer relationships, and ensure veterans and eligible spouses receive high-quality employment and training services. This role serves as a key connector between the business community, WorkSource partners, and veterans seeking employment—helping employers understand the value of hiring veterans while ensuring veterans can access the full range of workforce resources available to them.
In this role, you will conduct proactive outreach to employers, unions, apprenticeship programs, and community organizations to expand employment opportunities for veterans. A key responsibility will be to provide individualized employment services, including assessments, job development, referrals, and case management for veterans facing significant barriers to employment. In addition, you’ll also ensure compliance with federal Priority of Service requirements, maintain accurate program records, and collaborate closely with Disabled Veterans Case Managers, WorkSource partners, and the Washington Department of Veterans Affairs. This position is based in Seattle, WA and includes outreach throughout King County.
