Job summary

Buzzards Bay Coalition is seeking a hands-on Reserve Manager to oversee landscape maintenance, land management and public use at designated reserves in the Buzzards Bay region. The role requires problem-solving, strong communication, and the ability to work outdoors in variable New England conditions.

Attention to safety, aesthetics and resource protection is essential. The position is based at the Marion Field Operations facility, with site activity from Westport to Plymouth, MA.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and implementing land management activities.
• Experience with maintenance of landscapes, estates, parks, or recreation facilities.
• Ability to balance public access with resource protection.
• Comfort working outdoors in New England conditions.

Responsibilities

• Care for all aspects of assigned Reserve properties.
• Inspect and prioritize land management needs.
• Plan year-round landscape maintenance and vegetation management.
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers and seasonal staff.
• Develop and update land management plans.
• Collaborate with partners and communities.
