Job summary

National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) seeks a Conservation Technician Assistant to support NRCS field offices in Farmville under the ACE program. The role focuses on enabling conservation practice implementation and providing direct support to farmers and landowners.

The position is non-federal, part-time (about 24 hours/week), with a wage of $19.00 per hour. Candidates should have 5+ years of experience or a HS/GED and be eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 year(s) of experience OR HS/GED Degree.
• Valid State Driver's License.
• Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Provide program support to field office (USDA NRCS) staff by supporting mission essential operations.
• Contract Support: Farm bill eligibility, application and contract document management, payments, conservation plans, conservation maps and practices job sheets.
