Job summary

White Oak Conservation is seeking a Food and Beverage Server to provide exceptional dining service for lodges, guest houses, and events, while sharing our conservation mission with guests.

The role involves serving meals, maintaining cleanliness, coordinating with staff, and supporting guest relations and bar service during events. Must have at least a high school diploma and 3 years in hospitality or food service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; any schooling for hospitality-based careers preferred.
• Minimum of three years of general food service/hospitality work experience.
• Knowledge of food service practice and procedures, and safe food handling, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures guests receive finest quality food and beverage service with a positive, professional attitude and appearance.
• Maintains cleanliness and product quality standards of guest lodges, public spaces, restrooms and banquet/meeting/conference rooms.
• Executes all food and beverage services in a professional manner in accordance with standard procedures.
• Serves breakfasts, coffee breaks, luncheons, dinners, cocktail receptions, galas, meal drop offs, etc.
• Assists in set-up of function rooms for meals and events, including linens, silverware, glassware and chinaware.
• Maintains knowledge of menu options and availability.
• Assists Guest Relations by greeting guests, bartending, and attending the Gilman Hall bar area.
• Communicates function specifications and changes with affected departments.
