Job summary

Center for Natural Lands Management seeks a Land Acquisitions Project Manager to coordinate conservation land acquisitions in California, including mitigation projects and partnerships. You will manage timelines, budgets, and documentation, ensuring ethical real estate practices and adherence to CNLM policies.

The role requires collaboration with a diverse team, title work, and potential travel to meet project goals, while maintaining a home office in California.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or higher degree; a master's in a related discipline preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Experience in land acquisition/real estate or conservation is desired.
  • Ability to work independently from a home office with travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all stages of acquisitions from initial contact to escrow closing.
  • Serve as main contact for landowners and permittees and support the process.
  • Schedule meetings with external parties and CNLM acquisition team.
  • Ensure policies and documentation meet CNLM standards and risk controls.
  • Prepare acquisition-related contracts and templates using CNLM formats.
  • Perform title reviews, tax reviews, and recording documents as needed.
  • Maintain project tracking and summarize acquisition data for Board reporting.
  • Contribute to strategic partnerships and address external threats to conservation.
