About the Remote Licensed Therapist (1099 Contractor) role at Headspace

Headspace is currently seeking part-time, independently licensed contractor therapists to provide direct, virtual care as part of a multidisciplinary team on a 1099 contract basis. To get started, we strongly encourage having 10+ hours available per week with full flexibility to adjust; more is always welcome depending on your schedule. It may take a number of weeks to achieve a consistent schedule due to care demand and member scheduling fluctuations.

The pay for the Contract Mental Health Therapist ranges from $80-85 per teletherapy session. Exact reimbursement rates will be determined during the interview process and are based on location, licensure type, experience, specializations, languages spoken, and populations treated.

Session length is 60 minutes for an intake and 45 minutes for a follow up appointment, with concurrent note-taking included in the session rate. All Headspace therapists must be licensed and reside in the US. All work must be provided in the U.S. Personal health information may not be accessed outside of the U.S. The U.S. includes the 50 states; it does not include territories like Puerto Rico.
