Job Description Summary

• Connected Buildings Technical Lead

Role Overview:

The Connected Buildings Technical Lead is an individual contributor responsible for maintaining the technical and reporting performance of the BMS group portfolio. This role involves network point configuration, firmware updates, system backups, project support, and BMS program management activities.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in HVAC/Electrical; formal training in BMS software; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience with BMS systems.
• Proven ability to produce complex plans and reports within budget and schedule, adhering to quality standards.
• Experience coordinating with other service lines, monitoring backlog, and managing staff across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled system backups and document changes.
• Install and add points to BMS systems; create data point histories for clients.
• Collaborate with client IT to whitelist devices, assign IPs, and maintain network security.
• Troubleshoot control system malfunctions and implement corrections.
• Work closely with HVAC technicians for repairs and maintenance.

Physical and Travel Requirements:

• Travel between floors and buildings; primarily remote work with site visits.
• Prolonged sitting or standing; use of office machinery.
• Walking, talking, hearing are regularly required.

Benefits and Compensation:

Eligible employees can enroll in health, vision, dental, retirement, and insurance benefits. The position offers a salary range of $127,500 to $150,000, depending on experience and location.
