Compensation Range
Hourly: $20.90 - $24.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)About This Job
The CONNECT Banker is an exciting new role responsible for the delivery of key digital engagement experiences across the full Commerce Bank footprint. Digital Bankers are instrumental in helping to engage our customers through our digital channels, including the Commerce Bank CONNECT Mobile Messaging, Digital CARA, Digital Onboarding, and others. Bankers will proactively establish and maintain a portfolio of digitally active consumers, focusing on identifying needs and offering solutions to make banking easier and help customers achieve their financial goals. Digital Bankers will also partner with retail bankers across channels, branch and customers care center, to deliver a seamless customer experience.
Essential Functions
Develop a disciplined approach to digital engagement efforts that accomplishes several key goals: deepen relationships with customers to identify needs and offer solutions, proactively manage, build, and maintain a digitally active consumer portfolio and develop an active lead/referral pipeline
Provide a differentiated customer experience through key digital experience programs: Commerce Bank CONNECT Mobile Messaging - onboarding, engagement, fulfillment; Commerce Solutions Guide - onboarding, relationship building, fulfillment; Digital Account Opening - effectively onboard new relationships and establish rapport; Leverage digital tools, EnAct, CARA, and additional system resources, to support conversations and solution recommendations
Educate customers on a variety of retail products and digital solutions that enhance the customer experience and contribute to achieving sales goals
Interact with customers digitally and over the phone to ensure their financial needs are being met through the serving of accounts and sales fulfilment
Ensure adherence to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies
Ensure customer interactions consistently meet all compliance requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Intermediate knowledge of retail banking processes and procedures
Ability to establish rapport and build relationships by asking questions, active listening, demonstrating empathy, responding promptly with correct information, and recommending appropriate solutions or services in response to customer needs
Ability to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Motivated and organized self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities including customer responses
Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook while casting a positive shadow aligned with our culture and values
Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook and comfortable working in multiple systems while learning new technologies
Education & Experience
Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
3+ years retail banking / financial service experience required
Retail banking and cross-channel experience preferred

At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $20.90 to $24.00 hourly. This position will be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals.
